Founders' Vision
Joshua Taylor and Kevin Neeson had both enjoyed successful yet diverse careers before they stood together on an ancient, sandy-bottomed beach in Central America and felt the emotional magnetism of the secluded Nicaragua coastal cove they ultimately named “Cala Azul”. While they knew they would develop this stunning property and put their own personal imprint upon it, they likewise already knew that what would be built here had to wholeheartedly embrace the site in all of its beauty and honor the heritage of the land with good stewardship.
Talented entrepreneurs from the San Francisco Bay Area, and partners in Southern Coastal Properties, Nicaragua, the pair immersed themselves in the intracacies of creating a quality resort environment that offered something they found missing from many of the other properties in the region – intimacy and a real sense of community. Kevin and Joshua know personally that when people truly enjoy where they live, when they know their neighbors and choose to live amongst like-minded people, developments become neighborhoods. This was going to be very special.
This is the vision of Cala Azul Resort & Hotel – a unique oceanfront, resort community where Mother Nature and we unite to provide a wonderful opportunity for discovering the value of the shared experiences that are such a large part of the enduring lifestyle at Cala Azul Resort.
